In Between Two Places

I am traveling by train, looking out the window.
Friends reunite, warmly embracing each other in Duinbergen, a small station.
Teenagers panic after arriving one minute too late for their train.
I hear a French-speaking conductor announce in Flemish, his "R" slightly gargled.
Two horses rest in the shade of a tree.
Two storks stand in a field as I pass them by.
I move my pen across my notebook, quietly enjoying myself in the silent wagon.
I move between Ghent, where I offer Luminosa treatments at Planeet M, and go to the sauna each week, to Knokke, where I live and work. Since I moved to Knokke two months ago, I have felt more grounded, happier, and relaxed. I have always dreamt of living close to the sea, so this is a dream come true.
Luminosa is also evolving. My focus for this new season has shifted from studio sessions toward private, mobile sessions in Knokke-Heist (Het Zoute), and neighboring towns such as Duinbergen. My new studio in Knokke is still taking shape, but itās very Luminosa. Thereās a small couch for arrival, my writing desk underneath an arc facing the window, and my massage table in the center of the room when I have the privilege of welcoming an acquaintance, a friend, or a colleague. I still have my Luminosa studio in Planeet M, but the availability for welcoming clients there and in Knokke is limited. I prefer using these spaces to deepen my Signature Ritual, to exchange with colleagues, and to refine my craft.
I also removed the online, instant-booking system from my website and returned to the more old-fashioned way of texting, mailing, or calling me to make appointments. I sense that this fits Luminosa more. Thereās a greater sense of attunement with clients and the opportunity to customize a session.
At the same time, I notice that the weekly rhythm between Ghent and Knokke requires more energy than I had anticipated. Itās something Iām gently re-evaluating as I continue to shape what Luminosa wants to become.
I prefer to take my time for my clients.
Iād rather have 2 or 3 clients I can give all my attention to than rush the whole day to facilitate 5 or 6 clients. It leaves me the chance to walk on the beach on a calm morning, and sit down on the dunes in the evening, watching the sun set at horizon, writing a line or two.
