The Quiet Room: What Luminosa is becoming

Why I create quiet spaces
Quietness to me is sacred, a healing balm, an invitation for truth. A quiet space is like the sea, welcoming us to enter into its waters, to feel its pulse, to bathe, to swim, to dive and become one with the ocean. I create quiet spaces so you and I may receive the gift of stillness. I hope you may be filled with the living waters of care, love, and wisdom.
How the Room at Planeet M reflects my values
I am grateful and happy to now have the opportunity to work in the room at Planeet Mars and to welcome clients there. The moment I entered the room for the first time, Piero greeted me warmly. When he then asked me kindly to take off my shoes, I became aware of the reverence for what takes place there. At the same time, the room prompts relaxation and radiates gezelligheid.
I like how Piero is adamant about making sure everyone feels welcome, whatever their story, background, gender, faith or secular views they hold. Everyone is welcome in quietude, respect and gentleness.
Besides relaxation, this space makes room for growth, exploration and experimentation. I am learning that I am more than a massage therapist. I combine restorative presence with slow and sensory artistry, supporting deep rest and nervous system reset.
The Story behind the room
This year has been very good to me. I had the pleasure of starting a new job as a massage therapist in La RƩserve, Knokke. Every day, I am thankful to be able to do my work at the Wellness of La RƩserve. Talented and professional colleagues, refined aesthetics, elegance and style make it a pleasure to work there.
I also had my first photoshoot. You have probably seen some photos on my website, but here is a small gallery with some of those pictures, taken by An van Gijsegem.
I also began writing poems and haibuns for two new poetry books, one carrying the title Unspoken Rosaries and the other Dreamworks and Dust. It has been such a joy writing. Oh, how I adore it.
And, as I mentioned earlier, another blessing was to have found a place at Planeet Mars for Luminosa.
The Vision of Luminosa
Luminosa is settling and growing at Planeet M, rooted in quiet presence, attentiveness, and care. This room allows me to listen more deeply to my work ā to touch, to silence, and to what emerges when there is no need to hurry.
At the same time, Luminosa is not bound to one place. As my life gradually moves closer to the coast, I envision a second rhythm unfolding there as well, shaped by sea, wind, and wider horizons, offering the same quiet hospitality in a different landscape.
In the coming years, I will continue to deepen my practice through further training, including craniosacral therapy, and through careful experimentation with a Signature treatment devoted to deep rest and embodied listening. I am also allowing ASMR influences to inform my work.
Poetry remains an essential part of this vision. Not as something separate from the work, but as a way of seeing and listening, attuned to rhythm, imagery, silence, and what cannot be forced. It teaches me to work slowly, to trust nuance, and to leave space for what wants to arrive.
Luminosa is becoming a practice where touch, atmosphere, and language meet ā a place where the body can soften, settle, and remember its own rhythm.
At the Threshold
A room becomes available.
Not for doing, but for resting.
Not for fixing, but for listening.
